Okay so I have a ton of catching up to do from the past four days so this will probably be a really long post. So you should sit back, relax, and enjoy this post! The last time I posted was on Sunday so I'll start there. :)
Sunday:
Went to Hollywood Studios with two of the roommates and met up with Mike and a couple of his roommates. Rode Tower of Terror a couple of times and Rock'n Roller Coaster once, which were both AWESOME as usual! Then really just hung out and walked around the park for a while. After that we took a trip to wal-mart and went back to the apartment where we had brownies and ice cream for dinner! That is also way more exciting than it should be, hahahah. I went to sleep really early on this night because Day 1 of training was at 8:30 on Monday morning.

Monday:
Woke up at 6:30 in the morning which is not something I'm good at doing and then took the bus over to where we had to meet for training. I don't have much to say about this day because it was for the most part just the technical aspect of Photopass. After training I went out with Mike to Downtown Disney for a couple of hours then went back to the apartment to sleep because I was absolutely exhausted.

Tuesday:
Day 2 of training: I drove today instead of taking the bus so I didn't have to wake up until 7! Hooray for sleeping in! Today was a lot more fun than Day 1, we got to go into Hollywood Studios and take photos in groups of one another to practice what we had learned on Day 1. This was terrifying and so exciting all at the same time! We weren't able to take any photos of guests today because we were only on day 2 of training but that was okay, maybe even better so that we could really figure out what we were doing. On our way out of Hollywood Studios there was a woman and her family that started talking to all of us and telling us how what we do is so important and that we get to create memories that last a lifetime. She was also telling us how they don't do birthdays or Christmas or anything like that and just go to Disney for two weeks a year instead. So the sap in me came out and I started crying as soon as we walked away because I was just so happy that I can now affect someones life in such a positive way just by creating memories for them that I know will last a lifetime. :)

Wednesday (today):
Day 3 of training which is also the first day that we're actually in our designated parks taking photos! My shift was from 9-6 so I got there around 8:45 this morning and met with the trainer for today. We went through some review stuff and then at about 10:00 we set up our cameras and went out into the park. When we got to the entrance of the park she had us start taking guest photos right away. I was absolutely terrified at first and thought I was going to do horribly but as soon as we got through a couple of guests I was having so much fun! There was one man who actually took a couple of photos of all of us trainees and after was telling us about how he goes to Disney for 6-8 weeks throughout the year and he'll take pictures of us and send it over to guest relations to tell them what a great job we're doing and just to say thank you! I love that everyone in Disney is so happy all the time and it's just contagious and the greatest feeling in the world.
Oh, and before I forget, our lovely trainer was very encouraging and so incredibly nice and made us feel like we were right at home with her, which was great! Everyone who works at the park is so nice and a lot of them are hysterical which is awesome. You can most certainly tell that most of the people here absolutely love their jobs. Anyway, after taking photos at the main entrance we took a little tour of the park and then made our way inside for lunch. After this we went back out in the park and took some more guest photos and with every guest we encountered it became a little easier to get used to what I was doing. At one point there was myself and another trainee by ourselves taking guest photos for about ten minutes which was so much fun! Then after that we all went to take photos of the parade that was happening within the next twenty minutes. Yes, I took photos of a parade on my first day on the job, I don't think it gets any better than that! After the parade we went and put our cameras back and did some final review stuff and met some of the managers and then all of a sudden it was 6:00 and time to leave. Today FLEW by because I was having so much fun and I'm so excited that I get to do this everyday and help create all of these memories for the guests!

So tomorrow I have DAKlimations from 8:30-12:30 which is basically just a four hour park tour. I'm glad that I'm going to this because I have no idea how to get around the park right now and having guests asking me where to go is really difficult at the moment. I'm hoping that after tomorrow I'll have a much better idea of where everything is and then I can be more confident about my directions. If not then I'll just have to go there on all of my time off until I do know my way around. :P

I'm so happy that I get to be a part of this experience and create magic everyday! I can honestly say that I love everything about this internship and can't wait to see how the next four months are. :)
