Wow, three days since my last post which has been three more days of straight work for me. The past few days are a bit of a blur but I'll do my best to remember what happened. On Saturday I worked 2:00-8:00 and was stationed at the Bridge for a good portion of my shift. At one point I did get to go over to Expedition Everest corner for about an hour which was so much fun! I can't wait until I'm able to go over there again because it was a really nice change. I didn't get to do any night shots on this night because I was at the View Center for the last couple of hours of my shift which was okay because it flew by. There were two guests that I remember from this day who I took photos of over at Expedition Everest and was talking to them about the different shows in Animal Kingdom and then took their pictures again before they left when I was over at the Bridge! I looked at them and said "Hey, I remember taking your picture over at Everest Corner!" and I'm pretty sure they remembered me as well. We got to talking about the Festival of the Lion King show and how good it was and then they were on their way.
On Saturday night a friend from work and I made our way over to Magic Kingdom and stayed until 1 AM. We went on a lot of the rides in Fantasyland because it was COLD and we wanted to go inside. :P She had never seen Philharmagic before either, so we HAD to go see it! I love taking people on attractions that they've never been on before so it was a magical moment for me. :) OH, and speaking of magical moments, another one happened when we went into the bakery over in Liberty Square! It seems that every time I go to Magic Kingdom there's a magical moment that happens! I got home at 1:30 on this night and immediately passed out once my head hit the pillow.
On Sunday I worked from 2:00-8:00 once again. I was stationed at the Bridge all day and was completely okay with it. Today it was really cold and I wore shorts, oops! A lot of people walked by and called me crazy for being in shorts and my response was "I'm from New England, this is perfect weather!" That got a laugh out of most of the guests before they went on their way. I did get to do some night photography tonight which was nice except for the fact that my hands were freezing. Not a lot of people were taking pictures either because they were all too cold to think about it. But as usual, before I knew it my shift was over and it was time to head home.
Today I worked from 12:15-6:45 and was stationed at the Entrance and then at Tree Alcove (where the monkeys are, my favorite spot so far!). Entrance was fairly fun today, there were quite a few guests who wanted their photo taken in front of the giant Animal Kingdom sign. After break I went over to Tree Alcove where there was a constant hustle & bustle throughout the rest of the day. At one point there was a little boy who had a giant dinosaur toy and I said to him "I like your dinosaur!" and he decided to make it start biting my arm! Of course I had to play along and pretend the dinosaur was eating my arm and he got a kick out of it. Then he told me it was hungry so I said to him "Okay, well I guess he can have my other arm" and he had it start chomping on my other arm, hahaha. Then when he was done he looked at me and said "He wanted to eat your watch!" I thought it was adorable and he was so funny! I also figured out today that if one of our smaller guests won't look at the camera or is camera shy all you have to do is go "LOOK OVER HERE, IS THAT MICKEY MOUSE?!" and they ALWAYS look! Sometimes they aren't too happy afterwards though, if they know they've been tricked. :x
I have the next two days off and plan on making the most out of them, so my next post might be on or after Thursday, thanks for reading! :)
