Every day is a new adventure
I started my shift at 8:30 this morning at Animal Kingdom. I have to say that I'm getting used to being up super early and it doesn't bother me nearly as much anymore. When I got there I was stationed over at Tree Alcove which is almost right in front of the Tree of Life and there's a little trail where there are animals. Where I was stationed there were these adorable little monkeys called Cotton Top Tamarins that I got to talk to guests about for the duration that I was over there! I took a lot of different "Magic Shots" today as well, and if you don't know already magic shots are where you do something silly such as point down at the ground and look surprised and when you look at your photos later Stitch will be coming out of the ground! It's a really neat thing that Disney does for their guests and it's a lot of fun to make people do silly things such as that. So I kept taking photos and at one point a relatively large family came up to get their photo taken. So I went through and took all of their photos and at the end one of the guests came up to me and said "Thank you Danielle, you're the best photographer ever!" and it was so awesome and cute because he said it like this "photo-grapher" and not photographer. He totally made my day though. :)
I went on break at about 11:15 and then from 11:30 to 2:30 I was stationed at the bottom of the bridge in front of the Tree of Life. It's a bit farther back than Tree Alcove and there aren't any monkeys to look at over there. :( It was fun over there though because for the most part it was just go-go-go! Today there were a lot of birthday and anniversaries as well so I made sure that all of the guests days were made just that much more special by saying "Happy Birthday (insert name here)!" or "Happy Anniversary!" There was one older couple who came by who had buttons on that said "I'm celebrating" so I asked them what they were celebrating and they told me retirement, hahah! So I laughed and said "that's awesome, and a great way to start your retirement!" and then they were on their way. All of a sudden it was already 2:20 and time for me to go clock out for the day! I can't believe how fast time goes by when I'm working, it really is incredible.
