So as of 9:30 tonight I'm officially trained for night photography! Now I can pick up shifts in other parks much more easily which I'm very excited about. Today I was in Epcot all day which was such a good time and I had a really good trainer so it made it all that much better. My shift started at 1:00 and for the first four hours I was stationed in the view center which is where people come to look at their photos. I'm not going to lie, it was a little bit dull mostly because it wasn't all that busy in there. I'm sure if there were more guests then time would have gone by much faster. Around 5:00 it was time for break and then at 6:00 it was time to set up for the night shots! I was stationed back behind the fountain facing Spaceship Earth and every fifteen minutes the fountain had a little show that lasted for about five minutes.
All of the guests that I took photos of were very cooperative and patient and the little princesses and pirates were just so adorable! There was one little girl who I remember coming up to me with her new toy set and telling me all about it, so I got down on one knee so I could talk to her and asked her if Ariel was her favorite princess, because that was the toy set that she had in her hand. She said "Well, Snow White and Ariel are my favorites!" and it was just so cute! Her sister also wanted to talk to me about her Lady stuffed animal, and I'm sitting there thinking "This is really my job, to talk to these Princesses all day long and make memories for them!"
So at about 8:55 it was time to pack up and head out, but on the way Illuminations was starting and on the way back I got to watch the show which was very exciting since I haven't been to see it yet. All in all I would say it was quite a Magical day! Now I should really be getting to sleep since I have to be at work at 8:30 tomorrow morning!
